The Section of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics-Kansas City is seeking a physician who is board-certified in Pediatrics and/or in Internal Medicine and bc/be in Allergy/Immunology. Salary and academic range are commensurate with experience. The preferred candidate will have a strong clinical background and may also have research interests which would be supported by the section. Academic appointments are through the University of Missouri’s Kansas City School of Medicine.
Our Section’s goal is to provide high-quality care to our patients, offer an excellent education to our residents and fellows, and advance our understanding of allergic and immunologic disorders through research. Our clinical team is comprised of seven physicians, five fellows-in-training, nurse practitioners, and a large ancillary staff who oversee asthma care and education at the hospital.
The Section also fosters a collaborative research environment characterized by projects that span multiple subspecialties and range in scope from basic to clinical and applied research. Members of our faculty possess a broad range of expertise from basic immunology to clinical trials and epidemiology and are recipients of extramural research funding from the NIH, the EPA, and HUD.
